2009 Events In addition to our full schedule of concerts in Asheville and Davidson, this year’s festival will be bringing performances and workshops to neighboring communities, including Brevard and Tryon, NC and Greenville, SC. Gerald Trimble and festival director Eric Scheider will be presenting a lecture demonstration on the history of the bowed strings to the Asheville Symphony Guild and at Mars Hill College, Monday 2/16. The Mars Hill presentation is free and open to public, beginning at 7:00 p.m.. Inquire for info.
2008 Events Benjamin Bagby spoke to a packed house at UNCA’s Laurel Forum (in Karpen Hall) sponsored by the UNCA Humanities Department. Click for info.
