History

The Echo Early Music festival was founded in 2007 by cellist, composer, and conductor Eric Scheider with the help of many supportive colleagues.  Based in Asheville, the Festival has presented top quality concerts, from chamber music to opera, around the Western Carolinas each year in an annual series together with educational lecture-presentations and festive community events.  Entirely financed by ticket sales and donations, the EEMF depends on the generosity of both supporters and musicians alike.  Since our first festival, we been officially recognized as a 501c3 non-profit project of Pan Harmonia, so donations are tax deductible.  Click in the button in the upper right corner to donate electronically.  For other donation options, or to find other ways to support the festival in person, please contact us.
